Beyond Mobility: From Individual Success to Community Uplift
This pamphlet argues that the concept of social mobility is no longer fit for purpose because it individualises the notion of success and legitimates the ignoring of social and economic disparities.
It makes the case for changing the narrative to one where public policy creates communities that fosters wellbeing and allows people to lead a life of dignity and respect regardless of whether they ‘rise’ or not.
