Professor Kate Pickett
University of York and The Equality Trust

Kate Pickett is Professor of Epidemiology at the University of York. Kate leads the Health Inequalities Research Group and is co-author of groundbreaking book The Spirit Level: Why Equality is Better for Everyone which won the 2011 Political Studies Association Publication of the Year Award. Kate now sits on the National Advisory Panel of Class.
Kate is a National Institute for Health Research Career Scientist, a Fellow of the RSA and of the UK Faculty of Public Health and a co-founder of The Equality Trust, a non-profit organisation seeking to explain the benefits of a more equal society.
