Imogen Tyler is a Professor of Sociology at Lancaster University. Her research focuses on inequalities and borders of multiple kinds. Imogen's book, Revolting Subjects: Social Abjection and Resistance in Neoliberal Britain was shortlisted for the 2014 Bread & Roses prize for political writing. She edited a recent collection of essays called Immigrant Protest: Politics, Aesthetics, and Everyday Dissent and is currently working on a new book on stigma and inequality, 'The Stigma Doctrine'.
