Dr Abigail Gilmore

Dr. Abigail Gilmore is Senior Lecturer in Arts Management and Cultural Policy at Institute for Cultural Practices, University of Manchester.
Her research concerns the organisation of local cultural policy, management and participation and involves collaborative initiatives with cultural partners to inform teaching, research, knowledge exchange and public engagement. Current projects include Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded Connected Communities projects ‘Understanding Everyday Participation – Articulating Cultural Values’ and ‘ Beyond the Campus: Higher Education and the Creative Economy’.
She leads the research team for the NESTA, Arts Council England and AHRC Digital R&D Fund for the Arts project, ‘Culture Counts’.
