Will Hutton is a regular columnist at the Observer having previously been Editor-in-Chief and a contributor to the Guardian. Will started his career as a stockbroker and investment analyst and has written numerous books on economics including Them And Us: Changing Britain - Why We Need a Fair Society, The World We're in, and The State We're In: Why Britain Is in Crisis and How to Overcome It.

Will is currently Principal of Hertford College, Oxford University, a governor of the LSE, a visiting professor at Bristol University and Chair of the Big Innovation Centre at The Work Foundation. He has previously worked for the BBC as a reporter, producer and economics editor of Newsnight.
