Diane Abbott MP
Shadow Home Secretary

In 1987 Diane Abbott made history by becoming the first black woman ever elected to the British Parliament. She has since built a distinguished career as a parliamentarian, broadcaster and commentator.
In 2017, Diane returned as the MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington with a 35,000 majority and 75% of the vote.
Diane was appointed as the Shadow Home Secretary in 2016.
