Christine Cooper is a professor of accounting at Strathclyde University. She is co-editor of Critical Perspectives on Accounting. Her research is concerned with the economic, political and social impact of accounting on our everyday lives. This has produced publications in diverse social arenas including social and environmental accounting, gender, privatization, deskilling of accountants and book-keepers, insolvency and accountability. She holds a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
