Pete McArdle
Research Officer for CLASS Online Gambling Project

Prior to working with CLASS, Pete has worked on a freelance basis with organisations such as the Centre of Local Economic Strategies. His work has included a number of spend analysis projects, aiming to redirect money spent by anchor institutions in the interests of economic and social justice. 

Pete was born and raised in Birkenhead on the Wirral Peninsula. He has a BSc in Human Geography from Manchester Metropolitan University and a MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester. His MA Dissertation analysed the consequences of algorithmic management amongst workers employed in two areas of the platform sector, namely Food Courier and English as a Second Language tutoring.
